Sealing cords consist of a soft core with a braided sheath of ceramic fibres (narrow or wide mesh).

CHARACTERISTICS
Sealing cords consist of a soft core with a braided sheath of ceramic fibres (narrow or wide mesh). The higher the wear during use, the stronger the braid should be.
The braid of ceramic fibre requires an additional reinforcement of glass fibre (reduces the classification temperature to 650 °C) or metal wire (1200 °C).Depending on the application and temperature, various materials are available - See Technical details.
Sealing cords can also be braided with other yarns (e.g. HT glass fibre, silicate fibre, biosoluble fibre).Benefits
